Buy food in the Character tab, then feed the puppy
Open the Upgrade Terminal's Character tab to buy Dog Food, then approach the hungry puppy outside and press E to feed it. If you have already purchased food but the bowl looks empty, target the puppy itself and check its feeding interaction.

Golden Horn Studios directs players to the Character tab when they cannot find the food. If you missed the brief message about requisitioning it, return to that tab at the Upgrade Terminal. The next interaction after purchasing is with the puppy, so head outside once you have the food.
Feed the hungry puppy
- Open the Character tab at the Upgrade Terminal to find the Dog Food purchase.
- Buy Dog Food so you can complete the puppy's feeding interaction.
- Find the hungry puppy outside near the warehouse or depot yard to begin feeding it.
- Press E while targeting the puppy to use its feeding interaction.
- Watch the feeding animation to see the interaction play out.
Find the puppy around the depot
Player guides place the puppy around the depot after the warm-up shift. Check the outdoor yard and the path between the buildings, including the ground where it may be lying in the snow. The dog can move between spots, so look around the nearby outdoor area rather than repeatedly checking an empty location.
Follow barking if you can hear it while searching. If you have muted the puppy, search visually, because the developer extended that mute to its lost whine. If Dog Food has not appeared at the terminal yet, continue progressing and check the Character tab again.
Food purchased but the bowl is still empty
Approach the puppy and aim at the dog before trying to feed it. Steam players reporting an empty bowl after buying food were advised to press E on the puppy itself. Check for that interaction before spending more money based only on the bowl's appearance.
- Check the Dog Food entry at the terminal to review your purchase before trying the interaction again.
- Target the puppy directly so you can check for its feeding interaction.
- Press E on the puppy to try the feeding action recommended by Steam players.
- Use the report option on the Troubleshooting page if the interaction still fails, following the developer's guidance for persistent problems.
Unlock Good Boy through feeding
Players identify helping and feeding the puppy as the action for Good Boy. Complete the feeding interaction, then check whether the achievement has unlocked. If you have only bought the food, return to the puppy and finish that interaction before troubleshooting the achievement.
After feeding, player guides describe the dog recovering, moving around the depot, and helping with potatoes. Keep your production equipment running while it helps. The developer confirms that potatoes peeled by the puppy do not count as machine output for quests.
Mute the puppy separately
